How are your language and currency determined?

The first time it greets you, Wibigo tries to pick your interface language and currency automatically, so you can start working in your own language and your own currency without touching a single setting. This article explains how that choice is made and how to change your currency.

How is the interface language chosen?

Wibigo determines the language in this order:

  1. Your explicit preference — if you've previously chosen a language from the language menu in the top right, that language is always shown. Automatic detection never overrides this preference.
  2. Your browser's language — if your browser has a preferred language other than English, that language is used.
  3. Your country — if your browser is set only to English, or your language isn't supported, Wibigo chooses the language that matches the country you're connecting from (for example, German if you're connecting from Germany).
  4. If none of these can be determined, the interface opens in English.

You can change the language anytime from the profile menu in the top right; the language you pick is saved and kept on your next visits.

How is the currency chosen?

On a new account, if you haven't chosen a currency yet, Wibigo suggests the currency that fits the country you're in (for example, ₺ (TRY) if you're connecting from Turkey). This currency is used across your revenue dashboards, invoices, payment links, and store screens.

Once you save a currency, your chosen currency applies from then on, no matter where you're located.

Changing the currency

  1. Open Settings from the left menu.
  2. Switch to the Currency & Tax tab.
  3. Pick your currency from the list in the Currency section.
  4. Click Save changes.

After you save, your revenue, invoice, and store screens are shown in the new currency.

Plan and domain prices

Prices on the plan upgrade and domain purchase screens are shown in the local currency of the country you're in at the time of payment. The amount charged is always in the currency you see on the checkout screen.

Frequently asked questions

I'm connecting from abroad, but I want to see the interface in Turkish. Choose Turkish from the language menu in the top right; your preference is saved and kept regardless of your location.

My product prices show in the wrong currency. Go to Settings ▸ Currency & Tax and select and save your business's currency. The currency you save applies across all dashboard and store screens.

If I change the currency, do my old invoices change too? No. The currency is stored separately on each record (invoice, order, payment link) with its value at the moment it was created; changing the setting doesn't affect past records — it only applies to newly created ones.
