What is a payment link and how do I send it?

A payment link is a one-time URL you send in chat. When they tap it, they pay by card. In small business, it solves this exact problem: the sale closes in chat or DM, but payment hangs. Instead of asking for bank details, you send a link. Payment lands in your account instantly.

Payment links are for sales outside the catalog or when amount comes later.

How to create one

You write the amount and description in your panel; a link is generated. Send it to the customer over WhatsApp, DM, or email. When they pay, the charge goes to your panel — no chasing receipts, no guessing who sent what.

Why it beats bank transfer

  • Auto-matched: who, what, when they paid — it's recorded.
  • No waiting: payment appears instantly.
  • Easy for customer: card details and two steps; no multi-day transfers.
  • Refundable: refunds happen in your panel.

Connection to invoices

Payments and invoices are separate: the link collects money, invoices create the record. You can create an invoice in your panel and email it to the customer, then send a payment link. For unpaid invoices, send reminders from your panel.

Where does the money go?

Card payments run through Stripe and go straight to your account; Wibigo takes no commission. Set it up once.

Common mistakes

Leaving the description blank. A link labeled just "Payment" becomes a mystery line on your accounting three months later. Write "Bridal hair deposit — September 14".

Sending the same link to multiple customers. Make a new link for each payment, or you can't tell who paid.

Forgetting to round amounts. Fractional amounts read wrong on mobile; write clean numbers.

Forgetting to track the rest. After collecting a deposit, don't lose the balance. Create an invoice for the remainder or send a second link; "we'll figure it out later" is the most common lost money.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer need an app? No, they tap the link and pay with their card.

How do I see that it was paid? Payment appears in your panel instantly, applied to the customer's record.

Can I refund? Yes, refund from your panel.

Can they pay in installments? Installments depend on their card and bank; what they see on the page is determined by that.

Does an invoice get sent automatically? No — you create and send the invoice from your panel.
