Take cash-on-delivery orders
In the first phase of Sell with Wibigo, payment is collected on delivery: the customer places the order from your site, and you collect the money at the door or at pickup. Wibigo never touches the money — the payment is strictly between you and your customer.
Online card payment is not available yet in this phase. Every order is created as cash on delivery. Online payment arrives in Phase 2.
Turn on cash-on-delivery orders
- In the panel, from the left menu under Store, open the Orders tab.
- Click the ⚙ Delivery settings button in the top right — the Delivery & payment settings panel opens.
- Under Delivery methods, switch on the methods you offer:
- Home delivery — orders are delivered to the customer's address.
- Pickup — the customer picks up the order at your business.
- Fill in the Fees & limits section: Delivery fee, Minimum order amount and Free delivery threshold. Leave the threshold empty and it won't be applied.
- Under Notes for customers you can write Pickup instructions and a Delivery note — these texts are shown to the customer on the order page.
- Click Save.
If you switch both delivery methods off, online ordering on your site is turned off entirely — the panel shows the Both methods are off warning.
Legal texts
The same panel has an expandable Legal texts section. If you leave the Pre-purchase information text (custom) and Privacy / personal data text (custom) fields empty, automatically generated template texts are used on the order page. If you have your own legal text, paste it here.
How do orders arrive?
A new order lands in the Orders list and is flagged with a New badge. The summary cards at the top show Total orders, New, Delivered and Revenue (paid) at a glance. The order details show a Cash on delivery badge, the delivery method (Home delivery / Pickup), the Shipping address, the Customer note and the Payment status (Due on delivery / Collected).
Move the order forward, step by step
In the order details you always see a single next-action button. You can't skip ahead — this is what keeps orders from getting lost.
- ✓ Confirm — you accept the order. Stock is deducted at this step.
- Start preparing — the order moves to preparing.
- Depending on the delivery method:
- For Home delivery, Hand to carrier — in the window that opens, pick or type the Carrier and enter the Tracking number. Use Tracking link preview to check that the link works.
- For Pickup, Ready for pickup — the customer is notified that the order is ready.
- Delivered (payment collected) — click this once you have the money. The order closes and counts toward revenue at this step.
At every step the customer automatically receives a notification email — you don't need to tell them separately.
Cancelling an order
You can use the Cancel order button any time before the order closes. In the window that opens you are asked for a Cancellation reason; this text is sent to the customer, so write a clear explanation (e.g. "item out of stock").
